Dodgers home team Freddie Freeman in AB’s first game against former team
Freddie Freeman played 12 seasons with the Atlanta Braves, winning five All-Star nods and the NL MVP title in 2020. On Monday, he faced his former team for the first time since contract with Los Angeles Dodgers and quickly hit a home run on his first hit.
Freeman, 32 years old, signed a six-year, $162 million contract with the Dodgers in March, about five months after helping the Braves win over the Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. On Monday, he hit the second pitch he saw over the fence to win his first home game as a member of the Dodgers.
