Yesterday, Thom Browne was back Paris Fashion Week launches its spring/summer 2023 women’s ready-to-wear collection. It’s completely fantastical, whimsical and flowery as one would expect from a Thom Browne product. Stars like Cat Doja (who had a pretty stylish Fashion Month), Janet Jackson, Erykah Badu, Jaden Smith, and Maisie Williams, all arriving at Thom Browne, watched the spectacle from the front row. Not only was the audience flooded with celebrities, but so was the casting itself. Gwendoline Christie of “Sandman” opened the runway in an ornate blue, yellow, oversized blazer. At the end of the show was none other than “Pose” star Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, who stepped out of a giant life-sized high heel shoe before slipping into a makeshift dress cage in the form of a classic car. “In Thom Browne’s world… All girls and all boys match shoes….”
Known for his fanciful approach to reconnecting with traditional men’s classic apparel, the renowned designer showed off in New York City earlier this year for the fall/winter 2022 collection. mine. This latest SS23 collection fits Browne’s trend of experimentation. Inspired by his own interpretation of fairy tales, the garments offer a range of visual themes through the use of colour, shape and fit. Highlights of this collection include vibrant, puffy outerwear; university aesthetics; colored chalk; signature dog bag; and, of course, the perfect design.
Ahead, check out more glimpses of the stars at the show and all the runway highlights.
