Don’t expect GPU prices to drop, says Nvidia boss

Moore’s Law is an idea based on historical trends, which typically see PC performance double every few years while components drop in price. According to Huang, rising component production costs and a slowdown in additional power supply are the main reasons why GPU prices remain high.

Recently, the shortage of GPUs that dominated the scene has subsided and created an overabundance of graphics cards in the market. Nvidia is looking to sell off older GPUs that are still capable of long-term gaming and have more attractive prices when compared to the price of 40 series cards.
