Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sells 2.5 Million Copies In A Week

Capcom has announced that Dragon’s Dogma 2 has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide since its launch on March 22, bringing the series to 10 million units sold overall. In comparison, it took the first Dragon’s Dogma took two years to reach this same sales milestone.

The sales number is impressive given that the game has received some backlash for its rocky launch, especially on PC, which had frame rate issues. Players were also not very keen on its microtransactions, which let players ease some of the game’s natural friction like its lack of fast travel-points.

The game has since received some critical updates, such as being able to restart a new game. Additional graphic settings will be coming in a new update soon.

In GameSpot’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 review, we said, “Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an excellent sequel that builds upon the first game’s core concepts to create a thrilling open-world adventure.”
