One person has died after a collision involving a car and small bike in Pickens County.

PICKENS COUNTY, SC (FOX CAROLINA) South Carolina Highway Patrol Force soldiers say one person has been charged following a fatal crash in Pickens County.

A car and a small bicycle were both heading west on Midway Road near Log House Road around 6:45 p.m. on Thanksgiving, according to the soldiers. While the small bike was trying to turn right into a private driveway, the bike sped up behind it. The small bike then went to the left of the road and hit an embankment.

Coroners identified the victim as Jodah Mullinax, 40 years old. The coroner said Mullinax was riding a mini-bike without a helmet and died at the scene.

Soldiers say the driver of the vehicle, Barney Lewis Trotter, 33, has been charged with a DUI felony resulting in death.
