Drug seized, 3 arrested during Hwy. 28 traffic stop north of Burleigh Falls: Peterborough County OPP – Peterborough

Three individuals face costs after police seized medication throughout a site visitors cease in North Kawartha Township on Friday.

In line with Peterborough County OPP, round 3 p.m., officers reply to a site visitors grievance on Hwy. 28. The car was positioned and stopped north of Burleigh Falls. Police decided the driving force was prohibited from driving. A subsequent search of the car led to the seizure of illicit medication.

Randy Greenwood, 58, and Teresa Jones, 40, each of Highlands East, had been arrested and charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance — Greenwood for different medication, Jones for cocaine.

Greenwood was moreover charged with driving whereas prohibited. The car was impounded for 45 days.

Greenwood will seem in courtroom in Peterborough on Dec. 7.

Jeffrey McColl, 36, of Omemee, Ont., was charged with obstructing a peace officer.

He and Jones will seem in courtroom on Dec. 8, OPP mentioned Tuesday.
