As the saying goes, the bigger the better… but in the context of video games, that’s not necessarily always the case.

Dying Light 2 Developer Techland has revealed the expected release – due out next month on February 4th – will take “at least 500 hours” to complete, and well, it has generated some mixed reactions. afternoon online.

While the team clearly thinks the 500 Hours is a selling point, on social media the news is that it will take a long time to complete the sequel as it will be walking distance from Warsaw to Madrid which appears to have ruffled – with some concerned about the amount of extra content that could be.

In a follow-up announcement, the developer clarified what time this would be a “100% completion rate” and explained how most players can play the stories and side quests much faster. It then posted a more detailed notice:

“500 hours is involved in maxing out the game – complete all quests, finish and explore every corner of the world, but a casual player should complete the story + side quests and explore quite a lot in less than 100 hours, so don’t worry!”

Many others are still taking up the challenge, noting how the original game also offers hours of enjoyment:

What are your own thoughts on all of this? How long is too long and do you think you can indulge in 500 hours with a Nintendo Switch release? Please note that this is the ‘Cloud Edition’ of the game, so it will be a slightly different experience.
