Saturday will be Eddie Redmayne Day at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
The Oscar- and Tony-winning actor, who is currently garnering a new wave of awards for his portrayal of a hospital colleague. Jessica Chastain‘sin Tobias LindholmNetflix Movies Good nursewill be honored with the festival’s Icon Award during a midday luncheon at the Pelican Hills Resort.
The luncheon will be preceded by an hour-long recording with Redmayne of an episode The Hollywood Reporter‘S Chat Award podcast, featuring career retrospective conversations with Hollywood’s biggest names. (He had previously guest starred on the podcast in 2015, as its second guest.) And then a screening. Good nurse and then the Q&A with Redmayne.
The 40-year-old man is best known for his role as Dr. Stephen Hawking in the movie 2014 Theory of everything. He also had some memorable big screen shots in My Week With Marilyn (2011), Miserables (2012), Danish girl (2015) and Challenge of Chicago 7 (In 2020).
Note: Adam Sandlerstar of Hustleis also said to record an episode of CHEAP‘S Chat Award podcast on Saturday, and then received the festival’s Performance of the Year Award at a luncheon, but those festivities were postponed until Tuesday and moved from the Pelican Hills Resort to the Beach Sea VEA Newport. Anyone who already has tickets to see Sandler on Saturday can now redeem those tickets to watch both Redmayne on Saturday and Sandler on Tuesday.
