Elden Ring Erdtree is significantly higher than the Alps

Elden Ring players have been quite curious about the size and height of some of the enemy structures, characters and mobs in the RPG since its launch. Some even imagine how tall Erdtree really is in the game in terms of real life proportions, as it is not only the most notable landmark but also the largest structure in the game.

Fortunately, Soulsborne modifiers and data miners Zullie the witch took it to satisfy the curiosity of the community and measured the total length of the Erdtree.

In their recent video, data miners talked about some of their findings and process for measuring the biggest thing in the game.

Zullie explains:

“At the base, we can measure from where it landed, but the trunk continues to travel hundreds of meters below. The trunk is also suddenly cut off at the top of the tree, but it is naturally surrounded by many branches reaching further out. ”

When it comes to measurements, the data miner has taken the length from the base below the underworld all the way to the top of its highest branch. In doing so, Zullie concluded that the total height of the tree was about 5,048 meters or 16,562 feet.

When comparing this with objects and structures from real life, Erdtree is even taller than Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps, at 4,808 m or 15,773 ft.

You know what’s really unsettling about Erdtree’s potential size compared to how it looks in the game? This would represent the possibility of adding several thousand meters to its height. https://t.co/5xoAnbYs0U

Zullie also pointed out that size of Erdtree would be this impressive only if its overall length is calculated from its root tips.

However, if the tree were measured from where it rose above the ground, it would not be exactly taller than the Alps, as it would be 4,452 meters or 14,606 feet. However, it will still be taller than some of the largest and tallest structures in the real world.

When talking a bit about their methodology and why Zullie took the time to measure Erdtree in the Elden Ring, the data miner said:

“The engine that Elden Ring, and most From Softwares games on, is built using meters as the default unit of measurement for coordinate data in the game, so measuring the height or length of something as simple as recording the coordinates at both ends. ”

The Erdtree obscured the entirety of the Midlands, and to make sure it stood out, they made it so large that it dwarfed the largest structure in human history by five times.youtube.be/tjDd2q2fcAw

Zullie continued:

“A figure that I see often referenced for the Erdtree is 570 metres, which is almost a tenth of the actual size. The source is a Reddit post made from speculative calculations before the game was released. Hopefully this will help convey truth to the point of absurdity. “

The land between there are so many secrets that players have yet to discover and data-mined information like this adds a new flavor of discovery and helps users appreciate the effort Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team have put into designing the world. world of the game.
