Elden Ring: Where to find Icerind Hatchet
Find all weapons in Elden Ring is half the fun, but finding one that fits your build just right can take some time. If you’re looking for an icy build, where you apply a frosty effect on enemies to reduce their damage absorption and stamina, you might want to check out Icerind Hatchet. Don’t worry, because we’ll tell you exactly where you can round it.
Icerind Hatchet explained
Icerind Hatchet is an ax that requires 11 Strength and 16 Dexterity. It’s a great choice for those working towards frost builds, as it accumulates status effects on enemies fairly quickly.
The ax weapon skill is a hard hit AOE attack called Hoarfrost Stomp. Using it releases a trail of freezing fog in front of your character to create a frost state effect. Putting it on with regular weapon swings will help you apply the effect very quickly.
The Icerind Hatchet item description reads:
A speculum with frosted tongue. One of the gifts given by Castle Sol in the far north. Called “frozen fog”, the blade is said to have dragon scales. Causes a strong frost effect.
Where to find Icerind Hatchet
Icerind Hatchet is located in the Temple Quarter in Liurnia of the Lakes, which makes it pretty easy to round up relatively early in the game. Simply teleport to the nearest Place of Grace you can find and head towards that area.
If you approach the Temple Quarter from the south, you’ll find lots of broken buildings to explore. Inside some of the rubble you’ll find a chest containing an Icerind Hatchet. Once you’ve got the hang of it, you’re ready to start stomping and freezing your enemies in style.
