Elk with a tyre ‘necklace’ freed
An elk who spent two years wandering round Colorado with a tyre round its neck has had a weight lifted off its shoulders by wildlife officers.
Officers resorted to tranquillising the bull elk and eradicating its antlers, after they had been unable to chop by the metal lining of the tyre.
Scott Murdoch of Colorado Parks and Wildlife spoke to the BBC’s Maryam Moshiri in regards to the expertise.
