The government has been holding talks about potential partnerships with Musk’s teams over the past few years, including developing electric vehicles with Tesla and about the possibility of building a domestic SpaceX rocket launch site. , but no agreement was reached.
Musk is currently entering a $44 billion takeover bid for Twitter Inc., though that transaction has become uncertain as he said on Friday, his offer is “temporarily on hold. ” and was later maintained that he was “remaining committed” to the deal.
