Elon Musk Invites To Talk To MPs In London About Taking Over Twitter | Science & Technology News

Elon Musk has been invited to speak to MPs about his proposed takeover of Twitter.

Grandfather Musk did some ambiguous commits as part of Twitter takeover, including introducing verification for all users and addressing the prevalence of spam bots and accounts on the platform.

The chairman of a congressional committee that scrutinizes government legislation on social media wrote to the billionaire at his Tesla headquarters to say that MPs are “concerned about the developments you propose”.

While Twitter’s board of directors has approved the deal, reactions from Twitter users have been mixed and the deal still needs to be conducted by shareholders and regulators.

Analysts have also expressed concern that the Twitter takeover could cause Musk to spend less time with Tesla, the electric car company of which he is chief executive.
