Elon Musk leads SpaceX Starlink internet to 32 countries; SURPRISING News for Indians

SpaceX head Elon Musk already offers Starlink satellite internet service in 32 countries. Find out if India is among them and when Starlink is coming to India.

SpaceX has announced that its satellite internet service, Starlink, is now accessible in 32 countries. The Elon Musk-led company took to Twitter to share details of its global networking capabilities. The company states that it will ship Starlink services instantly to the 32 countries where their services are available. The improved capabilities also mark a stark change from a few months ago when Starlink lost 40 satellites to a solar storm shortly after launch. But the big question is whether India is part of these 32 countries and when will Starlink launch in India? Read to find out. SpaceX expands Starlink service to 32 countries

Over the last few months, Starlink has faced major problems completing deliveries and expanding its service to much of the world. Frustrated with delays and long wait times, customers have complained about the online service. It seems that now the company led by Elon Musk has fixed those problems and is back in service to a significant portion of the planet.

Previously, SpaceX announced that by 2022, the Starlink service would be available in 25 countries but exceeded expectations, it increased the availability to 32 countries. This is both relief for waiting customers and excitement for potential buyers who have been at the forefront of this development. However, India will not be able to rejoice as they are not part of the 32 countries where Starlink already operates. Also read: Astronaut creates first TikTok video from International Space Station.

India will have to wait for Starlink

According to the map of the Starlink website, India is not on the list of 32 countries where Elon Musk’s space company will provide its services. A closer look at the map shows that while India is highlighted in dark blue indicating that SpaceX services are ‘coming soon’, it is one of the only countries the site doesn’t share. any timeline. For example, hovering over Brazil shows “Starting Q1 2023” and Uruguay showing “Starting Q4 2023”. The entire continent of Africa is labeled as ‘Starting in 2023’. However, India does not show such a timeline, making it difficult to gauge when Starlink might launch in India.

This page also provides more information about countries where Starlink has not yet expanded. In the “Availability” description, under “coming soon” it says “scope of service pending or regulatory approval”.

The ‘regulatory approval’ section has played an important role in India in the past for Starlink. Considered one of Elon Musk’s key markets, Starlink started taking pre-orders last year and received up to 5,000 orders in a short period of time, according to the company. However, it had to be halted in November after the Government asked Starlink to apply for a license for its services before accepting bookings. If the regulatory approval part is resolved, chances are that Starlink services could be coming to India soon.
