Embattled Uvalde School Police Chief Pete Arrendondo Placed on Administrative Leave

Uvalde School District Sheriff Pete Arredondo was placed under administrative ban, effective immediately, on Wednesday. The announcement was made by Dr Hal Harrell, superintendent of the Uvalde Independent School District, and comes hours after Arredondo’s request to quit his job at the Uvalde City Council was denied.
