Ben Stokes‘reigning captain England’s Test got off to a brilliant start as their tempo drivers leveled New Zealand’s batting line-up on Day 1 of the ongoing First Test at Lord’s. James Anderson and Stuart Broad was recalled aside after missing the Test series in the West Indies earlier this year. The veteran pair did not disappoint as Anderson got the ball rolling at the ‘Mecca of cricket’ with Kiwi’s opening header Will Young and Tom Lathamcorresponding.
Broad then deals his next attack by removing Devon Conwaywho fell prey to a full delivery at a tree stump.
With New Zealand in all kinds of trouble on Day 1 who beat Australia David Warner delivered a hilarious message to Conway.
“Devon Conway, I feel your pain,” Warner captioned a photo of Broad on his Instagram story.
Anderson and the debutant Matthew Potts won four goals each as England played New Zealand for 132.
Potts has had a promising start to his international career, eliminating the New Zealand captain Kane Williamson (2).
After that, the dog Durham pacer entered the castle Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell in quick succession before completing his spell with Ajaz Patel.
Anderson also finished four for after he got the better Kyle Jamieson and Tim Southeecorresponding.
Stokes then dealt the final blow by firing Trent Boult.

For New Zealand Colin de Grandhomme played a 42-knockout without coming out while Tim Southee also featured with a 26-time knockout.
England, however, had a polish fall of their own, and was reduced to 116 for seven at the base of the tree on Day One.
