A consortium of English-language media introduced it is going to maintain a debate with the highest contenders to guide Montreal for the subsequent 4 years.
With municipal elections lower than a month away on Nov. 7, the mayoral race in Montreal is heating up with three candidates vying for the highest job.
Incumbent mayoral candidate, Projet Montréal’s Valérie Plante, was the primary girl to ever maintain the place in Montreal. She is attempting to stave off a comeback from Ensemble Montréal’s Denis Coderre and newcomer Balarama Holness of Mouvement Montréal.
Coderre left politics to regroup after his 2017 defeat to Plante and her Projet Montréal social gathering, whereas Holness not too long ago joined forces with Ralliement pour Montréal in a bid to supply a stronger third choice, in what’s seen by many as a two-person race.
A number of English media retailers will likely be producing a mayoral candidates’ debate scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 28, at 7:00 p.m. on the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre in Montreal’s Saint-Leonard borough.
The occasion will likely be broadcast stay on tv, radio and on-line by International Information Montreal, The Montreal Gazette, CBC Montreal, CJAD 800, CityNews Montreal (Citytv) and CTV Information Montreal.
Hosted by International Information’ Laura Casella, the 90-minute debate will give attention to six matters together with housing, public security, economic system, local weather disaster, inclusion and transportation.
CTV’s Mutsumi Takahashi and CBC’s Debra Arbec will act as moderators, whereas CityNews’ Alyssia Rubertucci will current questions from the general public.
Anybody wishing to submit a query for the candidates on the six aforementioned matters is being invited to ship an e mail to email@example.com.
