(CNN) — A baby sleeps within the ruins of a house eroded by rising sea ranges on a seashore in Togo.
This haunting picture, the work of Spanish photographer Antonio Aragón Renuncio, was meant to focus on an issue confronted by many West African countries and has scooped the primary prize on this 12 months’s Environmental Photographer of the Yr awards.
The 14th version of the competition, whose winners have been introduced Monday on the COP26 Climate Summit in Glasgow, noticed nearly 7,000 entries from 119 nations and was organized as a collaboration between environmental charity CIWEM, environmental streaming platform WaterBear and digicam maker Nikon.

The profitable pictures are being proven alongside a collection of different images at a COP26 exhibition. The local weather summit started on October 31 and can finish on November 12.
