Epstein accuser testifies she was introduced to Donald Trump

Deceased sex offender whistleblower Jeffrey Epstein told a New York court on Wednesday that he took her to the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida to meet Donald Trump when she was 14.

Now in her 40s, the accuser also testified in court that she later entered a teen beauty pageant tied to the former US president.

The allegation that Epstein introduced the woman, who has not been named, is being produced under the pseudonym “Jane”, made on the second day of testimony in criminal trial by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend who faces sex trafficking charges.

“Mr. Epstein introduced you to Donald Trump, didn’t he?” MaxwellAttorney Laura Menninger asked in a quick question round, to which the woman replied, “Yes.” The woman did not accuse Trump of any wrongdoing.

A spokesman for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“Jane,” now an actress, can’t remember whether meeting Trump took place before or after she claimed Epstein sexually assaulted her for the first time at his pool house in Palm Beach that same year.

On Tuesday, Jane told jurors that Epstein and Maxwell have touted their ties to famous figures, including Trump and former US president Bill Clinton, as they assert control over her and prepare her for abuse.

Epstein hanged himself in a cell room in August 2019, a month after being arrested for allegedly trafficking in dozens of young girls for sexual abuse.

Maxwell, who was arrested a year later, was denied fees that she helped Epstein recruit girls for abuse. Her attorneys accused Jane and other victims of altering their statements to secure large sums of money from victims’ funds.

Maxwell faces more than 70 years in prison if convicted on all counts. The charges against her include sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and charges related to facilitating the travel of minors to perform sexual acts.

Like several other top politicians and business leaders, Trump socialized with Epstein and Maxwell in the Palm Beach.

In 2019, when Trump was president, he distanced himself from Epstein, saying: “I’ve been down with him for so long, I don’t think I’ve talked to him in 15 years. I am not a fan. ”

Trump told New York Magazine in 2002: “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Great guy. He’s happy to be around. It is even said that he likes beautiful women like me, and many of them are somewhat younger. Without a doubt – Jeffrey enjoys his social life. ”

During Wednesday’s trial, Jane also told jurors that she had flown on Epstein’s private jet with Britain’s Prince Andrew, whose relationship with the convicted sex offender forced him to back from public service. She did not accuse the Duke of York of any wrongdoing.
