There are gallant defensive performances, hit milestones and creative mastery classes as Saturday’s games wrap up. Here are the players we think have been around for a long time and have earned their Team of the Week spots so far.
Erling Haaland
Without a doubt, Erling Haaland just not human. He came back yesterday from a hip injury that left him out of action until early 2022 and you just know he’s on the scoreboard. In a convincing 3-1 victory for Dortmund, Haaland made a brief cameo and still found the back of the net.
That goal also means he has 50 goals in 50 Bundesliga games, an incredible record worthy of the TOTW title. He hopes to stay healthy for the rest of the season for the big clubs to call in in the summer.
Diogo Jota
Sometimes you can get through a FIFA 22 gaming session to play a beautiful game in real life. Diogo Jota did exactly that yesterday after finding myself in the starting lineup for Liverpool against Southampton.
It only took 97 seconds for him to find the net, one of only two goals he would have scored in the game. His celebration for gamers is a nice nod to where he could be if he hadn’t played in the first team in the Premier League. His performance was well-deserved for the TOTW card, we wonder if he will use his card in The last group?
Kalvin Phillips
Leeds United didn’t have the best time as they visited AmEx Stadium against Brighton, but a standout defensive performance was Kalvin Phillips in his new Midfielder role.
While he is still very new to the position, you wouldn’t know that watching him command the defensive area while ensuring that the team stays organized and steadfast in the face of an attack. stop of Brighton. In the end the game ended 0-0 and Phillips played a huge role in earning points for Leeds.
This might be one of the most unique FIFA 22 TOTW cards as Phillips has played outside of his natural CDM position.
