Evergrande has made $83.5 million bond interest payment: Chinese media

Evergrande has remitted the funds for a key curiosity fee that was due Sept. 23 — forward of a 30-day grace interval that ends Saturday, in line with Chinese language state media Securities Occasions.
The $83.5 curiosity fee on Evergrande’s March 2022 offshore bond had been carefully watched by traders for the reason that closely indebted property developer warned twice in September that it could default.
The Securities Occasions report mentioned Evergrande has remitted the $83.5 million via Citibank. Citibank declined to touch upon this report.
Evergrande has missed 4 different coupon funds in September and October.
