Let’s grow crops and decorate your house Stardew Valley, crawl the dungeons of Minish Cap and combine it with RPG floor-building combat in a beautifully rendered top-down pixel world and you have Moonstone Island – a game that very quickly pops up in our “must see” list.
You’re an alchemist in training, spending a year in the wilderness mastering your mysterious techniques and figuring out how to restore Moonstone Island and the town to their former glory. You cruise around in hot air balloons, brooms, and gliders to reach more than 120 procedurally generated sky islands, home to hordes of monsters to battle and dungeons to explore. You can even set up your home on any island, in any biome!
Moonstone Island has a lot of features that myrtle lovers crave: You can fall in love with the locals, farm your own land, decorate your little house and create some recipes to help you on your journey or furniture to decorate your home.
What sets Moonstone Island apart from farm simulations is its combat abilities – you’ll be able to befriend wild spirits to fight with you in card-based battles, and you can control tweak your deck as you go, and upgrade and optimize along the way.
Moonstone Island has yet to be confirmed for a specific release date, other than “soon” – but it is already planned for the Nintendo Switch!
