The entire 20 years since the game was developed – and eventually canceled – long lost footage BattleBots Video games have emerged online.

The game, developed for the GameCube and PlayStation 2 in the early 2000s, is being created by UK-based studio Warthog Games. Featuring several different modes in which the player can battle robots, the title is based on the Comedy Central TV show of the same name (adapted from the British show, Robot Wars).

Unfortunately, with Comedy Central’s show being discontinued after its fifth season, the BattleBots game was halted before development ended. The only footage of the game that has been made public is a grainy trailer, but YouTubers have now obtained a complete working demo of the game, sharing more than two and a half hours of footage online.

You can watch it for yourself in the video below (be warned it contains some vulgar language), with gameplay starting at the 4:14 mark. It contains footage of the game’s tournament mode, arcade mode, bot building, and multiple battles.

Thanks Matt for the tip!
