Because of the snowstorm that hit Winnipeg Thursday, the town has introduced an prolonged snow route parking ban, which comes into impact at 12 a.m. Saturday, in an effort to get the streets cleared.
The ban prohibits parking on snow routes between midnight and seven a.m., and can keep in place till clearing is full.
Anybody whose automobile is violating the ban may obtain a $100 ticket and/or be towed.
Drivers are requested to test for snow route indicators on their streets, obtain the Know Your Zone app, or contact 311 for extra info.
The town’s common annual snow route parking ban takes impact Dec. 1.
