Family furious after 13-year-old gets jumped at Dania Beach school, says no employees intervene – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports
DANIA BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – A South Florida household is livid after their teenage relative suffered a brutal college beating that landed him within the hospital. The teenager’s household stated no college staff stepped in to cease it.
Davontae Brandau, 13, was jumped at Dania Seaside’s Olsen Center Faculty, Wednesday.
“As quickly as I rotated, he punched me,” Brandau stated.
The combat despatched Brandau to the hospital. Although dinged up, he’s anticipated to be OK.
“I’m a little bit sore,” he stated.
He’s now coping with the emotional ache of being blindsided, jumped, sucker-punched and stomped on through the college day.

He stated the incident was over a woman in school, and that the two-on-one beating ended his college day and triggered his mom to drive him to Memorial Regional.

“It’s disgusting,” stated his aunt, Ashley Brandau.
Ashley stated the younger man’s household is fuming over how this all occurred.
“Punching, beating, kicking and stomping his head as a faculty employee is standing subsequent to them together with her hand out doing completely nothing,” Ashley stated.
After being jumped, Davontae ran.
“He didn’t even really feel comfy staying at school after it occurred,” she stated. “He tried to take off and get away from the scenario.”
Ashley stated a Broward Sheriff’s Workplace deputy tracked him down off campus and launched him to his mom. Then, he was taken to the emergency room.
“My hand, it’s laborious to maneuver all of it the way in which down. My elbow hurts actually unhealthy,” Davontae stated.
