Fans Call for Paddy Considine to Win an Emmy
The Emmys have just last monthbut Dragon’s House fans wasted no time in choosing a new champion for the 2023 release. Fans of the series rallied together for Paddy Considine across Twitter last night, celebrating his tour-de-force performance in one of the series’ most consequential episodes to date.
It’s been a long and winding road for King Viserys (Considine), who both battled leprosy in the last few episodes while managing the Seven Kingdoms, you know. Episode 8 really emphasizes Viserys’ struggles, and fans are thoroughly impressed by the king’s rapid decline into something utterly spoiled.
“Paddy Considine, you deserve an Emmy for your portrayal of King Viserys,” one viewer declared. “I had to pause tonight’s episode because I couldn’t see through my tears.”
Okay, guys, I’ve reached out to the Emmys team — they’ve engraved Paddy Considine’s Emmy. No need to worry. It will be ready in September 2023. I’m sorry Heir cast, who are hoping for another award for either Jeremy Strong or Matthew Macfadyen.
But what is all the uproar really about? Get in there.
(Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet Dragon’s House Episode 8, “Lord of the Tides.”)
Viserys’ face and body were in complete disarray, a mess of a human battling a terrible disease that was eating away at every bone in his body. Seeing his face torn would probably be worse see Smile in a local movie theater. However, he managed to keep the peace for his kingdom and family. Viserys held one last family-style dinner around the large table before he passed, offering a few toasts to clear things up before he was buried under six feet.
However, there is one scene in particular that the viewer gets caught up in, and it takes place right before the family’s last party. Viserys triumphantly returned to the throne room, declaring that the line of succession had been settled. And who better to support him to the throne and help him win the crown one last time than Daemon (Matt Smith)?
This moment is really random, Dragon’s House director Geeta Patel told Weekly entertainment: “As we were filming that scene — I think back to the rehearsal, the first day — the crown fell off Paddy’s head and Matt picked it up and we kept going. We didn’t stop [filming]. There was a discovery there at this point. “
Okay, maybe Considine and Smith both worthy of the Emmys. Although we (most likely) won’t see any more Paddy Considine in the final two episodes of Dragon’s House, Smith will be back. And from the looks of episode 9 trailerhe’s about to lift all hell.
