Fans have discovered a neat Mario Party 3 reference hidden inside Mario Party DS
If you are lucky enough to have a copy of Mario Party DS In the past, you might remember Toadette’s Music Room, one of the game’s unique boards. What we are willing to bet for you Are not ‘What I didn’t know, however, was that the board actually contained a fun little easter egg related to an older game in the series.
Perhaps obvious, Toadette’s Music Room is a music-themed board whose players run around a room dotted with instruments and over the keys of a giant piano. Dotted around the room is some music, and it is here that this seemingly new secret lies.
As shared by The game is reinvented, two fans named River J and Squish_Pixelz made an interesting discovery about the track after being able to extract a 3D model of the Music Room. By taking a closer look (see below), the pair were able to jot down the notes and then share the tune with fans of the series.
It turns out that the melody is actually taken from the soundtrack of Mario Party 3, a game that came out seven years earlier. We suspect many – if any – fans have ever actually been able to see those notes in enough detail to identify tunes before, but it’s certainly an interesting little touch.
