Fantasy Injury Update: Latest Justin Fields, Jordan Howard, Michael Carter news impacting Week 12 waivers

Justin Fields, Jordan Howard and Michael Carter left last week’s game early due to injuries. If the waiver transfer deadline is taken into account, their status will affect the receipt of the abandonment transfer. With Fields, superflex/two-QB tournaments will be affected, while Howard and Carter’s situations could lead fantasy owners to pick up cuffed RBs on Eagles or Jets. Week 12: The best abandonment pick-up car

Justin Fields injury update

Field (rib) received good news when it was revealed that he had avoided a broken rib, but he’s more than likely to miss the game against Detroit over Thanksgiving. With only a short week and the Bears going nowhere this year, you’d think they’d be wary of rookie QB. However, we’ll have to keep an eye on this as we move towards Thursday.

Currently, we rank the Schools as QB19 vs Detroit. If Andy Dalton starts, he’ll be a match-based deep league streamer.

WEEK 12 PPR RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker

Jordan Howard injury update

Howard (knee) was injured in the third half against New Orleans, but the severity of the injury is unknown at this point. If he’s good to go, he’s one of our top dropout picks as we see him hold a key role in the offense even when Miles Sanders returns. If he can’t go for a while, Boston Scott or Kenneth Gainwell will earn ties, but it’s difficult to know who. Both would be decent pickups that would serve as a flyer.

Howard is ours RB30 in standard and RB33 in PPR against the Giants this week. If he goes out, Sanders will switch to a slightly more “safer” RB2, while Scott will be positioned around where Howard is currently.

WEEK 12 STANDARD RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker

Michael Carter Injury Update

Carter (ankle) left the Week 11 game against Miami due to an ankle injury and his condition will need to be monitored leading up to Week 12. We’ll see how things go, but this could be a great point for Carter to continue his breakthrough against the bottom 10 defense against the RBs in Houston. Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson would likely be a 50/50 committee in Carter’s absence.

Carter is ours RB18 in standard and in PPR . Tournament.
