Fantasy QB Leaderboard Week 14: Who started, sitting in midfield in fantasy football
It’s too late in the season to say goodbye to four teams, isn’t it? Well, we have one more to go. Live streaming of midfielders will still be somewhat important as we head into fantasy football’s knockout stages, but it will be the last big week with non-injury related absences. Our Fantasy QB Week 14 Leaderboard will help you identify the best players and players so you can finish your regular season with success.
Jalen Hurts, Carson Wentz, Mac Jones and Tua Tagovailoa are all getting PTOs this week, so that leaves an elite fantasy student and some popular streamers off the board. However, we get Cam Newton (vs Falcons), Ryan Tannehill (vs Jaguars), Aaron Rodgers (vs Bears) and Baker Mayfield (vs Ravens).
WEEK 14 PPR RANKING:
Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker
Tom Brady (vs. Bills) is in for a tough game, so it’s worth noting that we have him shorter than usual, but he will still be in most of the starting lineups. Matthew Stafford (@ Cardinals) has been struggling lately and had a tough game this week, but we also have him as a low-level QB1.
WEEK 14 STANDARD RANKING:
Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker
Now, let’s dig into what most people come to the QB leaderboard for: The defender in the starting or end-of-bubble bubble. Those with favorable matches are Taysom Hill (@ Jets), Taylor Heinicke (vs. Cowboys), Teddy Bridgewater (vs. Lions) and Cam Newton (vs. Falcons). You might think Newton is too short – and he could obviously break his rank – but we saw Newton’s downside a few weeks ago, so he’s no longer a safe pick. However, those of you who are sticklers for the bare-chested style will likely choose to start him over any other startup out of the box.
Signal callers at the border with overly disturbing matchups include Matt Ryan (@ Panthers), Jimmy Garoppolo (@ Bengals), and even Ryan Tannehill (vs Jaguars). The first two players mentioned against the top seven defenses against the fictional QB will head into Week 13.
In regards to Tannehill, he will be facing a Jacksonville defense with mostly limited QBs and based on his play late in the game, it’s hard to trust him. Dontrell Hilliard and D’Onta Foreman will find the workload heavy, and Tannehill’s best catcher will be Julio Jones. Trevor Lawrence (@ Titans) has the second most QB friendly games, but can you count him against a Titans overtake as soon as goodbye? We will have trouble doing so.
Again, this is the last week of goodbye and we still have plenty of options to help you get through the week. Whether you prefer the traditional higher-tiered dual threat (Hill, Newton) or the boom or bust style (Heinicke, Ryan), you’ll be able to go into this week feeling confident about your QB .
Note: We’ll be updating these QB leaderboards throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement and analysis.
