Saquon Barkley, NYG @ TB. If Barkley (knee) returns, he will have a tough time against the league’s No 2 defence. However, Barkley is talented enough to produce, especially as a collector against the Bucs defense that allows for more than seven RB picks/match. Antonio Gibson scored a total of 78 yards and two TDs last week against Tampa, so if Barkley gets the mass and a few scoring opportunities, he will pay off as an RB2.

Michael Carter, NYJ vs. MIA. Carter took advantage of the free time to make his fourth TD in his past six games and catch at least four passes for the third time in his past four games. He’s clearly the Jets leading back, and up against the Dolphins, who have top 10 in fantasy points per game (FPPG) through RB almost all year. This is a good point for Carter to produce again. Ty Johnson, who has scored in three of the past five games and has at least five catches in three of the past four, is also a worthwhile flexibility.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire, KC vs. DAL. In the two games before the knee injury, CEH achieved her stride, hitting 100 yards of javelin and TD in both competitions. He is expected to return this week against a Cowboys defense that has allowed five RB TDs and two 100-yard dashes in the past five games. This game can see a lot of points, so even if Edwards-Helaire is returned to the action, he will be in a good position to make fantasy points. Darrel Williams also has a shot at delivering worthwhile stats this week.

Myles Gaskin, MIA @ NYJ. Even when Gaskin is touched, he’s not always productive, so it’s hard to trust him. But the Jets allow the most FPPGs to go to RB by a wide margin, so if Gaskin has averaged around 18.8 touchdowns over the past four games, he will easily deserve a starting spot at both standard league and PPR.

Chris Carson, SEA vs ARI. The Cardinals have been resilient against the RB for most of the year, but they were burned by Christian McCaffrey and the Panthers last week. We’re not going against them too much, but if Carson (neck) comes back, he’ll get the majority of touches. In his three full games this year, Carson averaged a total of 76.6 yards and scored a total of three TDs, so he’ll produce RB2/flex-worthy stats.

Antonio Gibson, HAS @ VEHICLES. Gibson was inefficient last week, averaging just 2.7 yards per take, but he still hit a total of 78 yards and scored twice. If nothing else, Gibson suggests his shin injury isn’t something to worry about going forward. His two best games this year have been against two of the league’s top defenses, so don’t fear too much against Carolina’s solid defence. Gibson is somewhat of a boom or bust, but we know he has a lot of advantages. JD McKissic can always get a lot of reception if Washington falls behind, so he still has a chance to boom or bust.

Devonta Freeman, BAL @ CHI. We’ll have to see if Latavius Murray (ankle) returns, but even if he does, Freeman could very well lead the backcourt. He has averaged 14 touchdowns and a total of 70.5 yards in his past two games and scored in three of his past four competitions. The Bears have above-average defense against fantasy RBs, so if Murray returns we’ll knock Freeman out of this standings, but if he’s Raven’s main man, he has spiritual value active.

D’Onta Foreman, TEN vs. HOU. Foreman led the Titans’ backyard area last week, hitting the ball 11 times and covering 30 yards. He also has 48 yards received on two catches – one more catch than “receive” Jeremy McNichols. Adrian Peterson can still get some shots on target, but Foreman looks like the most explosive RB in this midfield. Houston has been defensively in the top 12 for most RB-allowed FPPGs all season, so Foreman is well positioned to come up with the right stats. Peterson has some TD-or-bust flips in the standard tournaments.

Tony Pollard, DAL @ KC. Pollard has had at least 10 touchdowns in all but three games this year. If he hits that mark this week, he will be a borderline against Kansas City’s below-average defense.

Jordan Howard, PHI vs. NO. Howard has been the Eagles’ man-of-the-round for the past three games, and despite not scoring last week, he’s set a season-high record with 83 yards. He’s averaged 14.5 takes and 77 dashes over the past two weeks. If Miles Sanders (ankle) is sidelined again, Howard will more than likely take the lead, but Boston Scott will be heavily involved (11 carries). More worrisome is New Orleans’ league-leading defense. Howard didn’t catch the ball, so he’s basically hit or miss this week while being the nominal leader on a committee. That’s hardly worth having a flexible position.

Zack Moss, BUF vs. IND. Moss hasn’t gotten more than eight carries in a game since Week 5. He managed a short TD in Week 10, something he’s always been capable of, but with the unexpected arrival of Matt Breida alongside the Devin Singletary, it’s hard to trust any of these guys back in a brutal game against a top defence.
