Fantasy TE Week 12 Leaderboard: Who’s Started, Last Seated in Fantasy Football
It’s the time of the week to deal with the weekend mess, and superstar Travis Kelce’s goodbye only sets the stage for tough times ahead. We’re still tasked with figuring out our Week 12 fantasy TE ranking order, though, which will hopefully help you find some players and streamers to target.
As mentioned, Kelce is out, but we should also note that Zach Ertz is also absent. Noah Fant (vs Chargers) and Tyler Higbee (@ Packers) have bye back and both have at least immediate matches. Live streaming is synonymous with this slot, so let’s get started with it right away.
WEEK 12 STANDARD RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | VND / ST | Kicker
Dan Arnold (vs. Falcons), Cole Kmet (@ Lions), Evan Engram (vs. Eagles), Austin Hooper (@ Ravens), and if healthy, Logan Thomas (vs. Seahawks) are the best picks when it comes to weighing. Mention the guys below who are under 60% ownership in the Yahoo league. However, Engram and Hooper are really the only ones in this group with special matches, as they face two of the top three defenses with imaginary points each allowed to close. . Some of the other best matches this week are featured by studs and duds (as we’ll discuss below). The Falcons, Lions, and Seahawks’ defenses are at least fine on tight ends, but Arnold’s production, Kmet’s potential, and Thomas’ reverse ability put them ahead of the others in favorable situations. more profitable, at least in the standard leagues.
WEEK 12 PPR RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker
If we’re taking a closer look at the matches, Jack Doyle and Mo-Alie Cox (vs Buccaneers), Gerald Everett (@Washington) and Tommy Tremble (@Dolphins) have some of the best endings. It’s also important to note that OJ Howard and Cameron Brate (@ Colts) will join that combo if Rob Gronkowski (returning) is absent. The thing is, none of this group is even close to being reliable – even in solid matchups. We want to play the guys above with less favorable matches based on what we’ve seen so far.
Dalton Schultz (vs Raiders) and Noah Fant (vs Chargers) aren’t always reliable picks either, but they’re still higher tier players than the ones we just mentioned other than being have very favorable matches. Schultz looks especially good with Amari Cooper (COVID) out and CeeDee Lamb (concussion) also at risk of inactivity.
Tyler Conklin (@49ers), Pat Freiermuth (@ Bengals) and CJ Uzomah (vs. Steelers) have all emerged as popular tight endings in recent weeks, but the pairings that justify them sitting in the Week 12. No one is “safe” enough to be trusted against a top 12 TE defense. However, Freiermuth has more value in PPR tournaments, so you might still want to use him there.
Hopefully we’ve demonstrated how tough things are going to be at TE this week. We tend to focus on games in this position, but they only mean so much if a player is barely targeted in his respective attacks.
Note: We’ll be updating these TE leaderboards throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement and analysis.
