FBI charges Iranians with more than 300,000 USD of plotting to kill US national security adviser
AN Iran has been charged in the US with plotting to kill a former national security adviser.
Shahram Poursafi, who lives in Iran and belongs to the Revolutionary Guards, is wanted for allegedly offering $300,000 to get rid of John Bolton.

According to FBI records, Poursafi told a person, actually an FBI informant, that he wanted Bolton purged or removed.
He provided the person with the address of Bolton’s office, the affidavit was revealed.
The Justice Department said it was an alleged retaliation for a US air strike that killed Iranian General Qassem Soleimani at Baghdad airport in 2020.
“This is not an idle threat,” said US Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen.
Bolton thanked the FBI for their work on the case and the Secret Service for protecting him.
“While it is impossible to say much publicly right now, there is one point that cannot be denied,” he said.
“The rulers of Iran are liars, terrorists, and enemies of the United States.”
