Federal gun charges for Sioux man arrested in street rampage | Crime & Courts
SIOUX CITY – A Sioux City man who was arrested following a road rage incident in February now faces federal gun charges.
Chad Hendrickson, 44, on Tuesday pleaded not guilty in US District Court in Sioux City to one count of possession of a firearm by a felony. His trial is scheduled for June 21.

According to the April 12 indictment, Hendrickson was in possession of a Cobra .380 pistol on February 16. Due to four previous felony convictions, Hendrickson was barred from owning a firearm.
Hendrickson was arrested on February 16 when, according to court documents, he pointed a shotgun at another motorcyclist as they were traveling north on Pierce Street and said, “I’m going to blow your head off. “
Police prevented Hendrickson from discovering he was in possession of a handgun, 0.08 grams of marijuana, and a pipe with marijuana residue.
He pleaded not guilty in Woodbury County District Court to felony possession of a firearm, possession of a narcotic – third count, threatening with a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault.
