Florence Pugh Dress Critics’ Circle Film Awards’ Robert Wun
Florence Pugh had an stellar 2022 when it comes to red carpet style, and now she’s impressed again with her first look of the year. The actor appeared at the 43rd annual London Critics’ Circle Film Awards on Sunday, February 5, wearing a stunning red strapless gown complete with peplum, proving the fashion detail that caused division has officially returned.
The look, put together by a longtime stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray, is part of Robert Wun’s spring 2023 haute couture collection and is definitely an outfit to impress. The structured bodice cinched at the waist before spreading out into a peplum waistline to add a dramatic touch to the sleek figure. Peplum became popular in the early 2010s but has been controversial among fashion enthusiasts ever since. Still, Pugh proves it’s a classy addition when done right. The back is lace-up, while layers of gold chain, hoop earrings and bracelet from Tiffany & Co. are perfect finishing touches.
The 27-year-old girl once won the best actress award with “Marvel” at the event, she added the stage to her look by taking inspiration from another movie of hers: “The Cat Goes Out: The Last Wish.” She added a red wide-brimmed hat with long feathers and a floor-length veil, reminiscent of the main character’s outfit from the cartoons. In fact, Pugh even joking in her acceptance speech“This year I came dressed as a bottle of Tabasco and wearing a Puss in Boots hat.”
Relying on the glamor of classic Hollywood, Alex Babsky add long lashes, winged eyeliner and deep pink lips, while Hyungsun Ju swept her bob hair to the side with a structured wave and parted ponytail underneath.
Pugh attended the prestigious event with her brother, musician Toby Sebastian, and was spotted arm-in-arm with a series of Oscar nominations. Pugh laughed and joked with cate Blanchett, who was wearing a loose-fitting puffy-sleeve vest, and Michelle Yeoh, wearing a chic black mesh dress, were both nominated for best actress. Pugh was later seen with Paul Mescalthe surprise nomination for best actor at the upcoming Oscars.
Pugh, who celebrate her birthday on January 3, ended the year with some award-worthy looks. She is a Victoria Beckham muse in one absolute white dress in November, stunned in a pink Rodarte cape at the Independent Film Awards in December, and shined in Valentino gold sequins at the party after the Fashion Awards.
