Florida Man Accused Of Fatally Shooting Neighbor In Dispute Over ‘Wandering Cat’ – CBS Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) – A Florida man is accused of killing his neighbor in a dispute over a cat that wandered into his yard, sheriff’s officers talked about.

Clifford Anthony Bliss Jr., 58, turned offended when the cat went into his yard Wednesday, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office talked about.

He went to his neighbor’s dwelling in Umatilla and threatened to shoot the cat, officers talked about.

James Arland Taylor Jr., 41, requested him to not shoot the cat, consistent with deputies. That’s when Bliss shot Taylor, they talked about.

Deputies talked about they interviewed a woman who was at Taylor’s dwelling when Bliss knocked on the door. She talked about he was offended regarding the cat and that Taylor requested him to not shoot the cat, the Ocala Star-Banner reported.

Taylor was shot as a minimum as quickly as throughout the chest, officers talked about.

Bliss was arrested with out incident. He’s charged with second-degree murder and was being held with out bond throughout the Marion County Jail. Courtroom data didn’t guidelines a lawyer for Bliss.

Umatilla is near Ocala in north Florida.
