Ford sees opportunity for off-road days in Australia

Ford saw the potential of off-road programs for Australian customers, like the Off-Roadeo program in the US.

“I think there is definitely an opportunity for something like that in Australia, whether we have the Ford brand on it or we have a partnership to try and make it easy for buyers to go and do that experience. more,” said Trevor Worthington, head of internal combustion, engine product programs at Ford.

“It’s a great opportunity.”

Ford brings Off-Roadeo experiences to customers of Bronco and Bronco Sport Badlands in 4 US states: Nevada, New Hampshire, Texas and Utah. Such a first experience is free for all owners of these vehicles.

These experiences are designed to not only foster the community of off-road enthusiasts, but also to educate customers about the capabilities of their vehicles.

For example, the Bronco drive system offers customers the opportunity to try out 4×4 off-road and off-road systems, as well as the Trail 1-Pedal Drive feature.

Ford is not alone in providing off-road experiences for its customers, with Isuzu Ute Australia featuring an I-Venture Club with driving days with expert guides.

The company has been expanding its Bronco sub-brand in North America, to include the sturdy Bronco two- and four-door SUV, body-on-frame and Bronco Sport crossover.
