The Sûreté du Québec has arrested a former retired investigator whom it accuses of getting been a mole in its ranks, police introduced Tuesday.
Based on the SQ inside investigations division, the previous police officer despatched privileged data to suspects focused by a felony investigation.
The allegations stem from a 2016 investigation into organized crime within the Outaouais area.
The 54-year-old former officer from Gatineau is dealing with a number of prices, together with obstruction of justice and breach of belief, the SQ stated Tuesday.
The previous officer is scheduled to look in court docket in Gatineau on Nov. 17.
