Frank Langella premieres Netflix’s ‘Fall of the House of Usher’ – The Hollywood Reporter
Frank Langella no longer participates in Netflix limited series The Fall of the Usher . Family After an investigation into his alleged misconduct on set, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
Langella, who received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in 2008 Frost / Nixonis set to play Roderick Usher in the streamer’s eight-episode horror project inspired by many of Edgar Allan Poe’s stories.
The investigation was completed while the film was in production, meaning the actor’s role will be re-enacted and footage of Langella, 84, will not be used.
Netflix declined to comment. Representatives for the star did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Limit line was the first to report Langella’s exit.
Project from Haunting of the house on the hill and Mass at midnight team of Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy. Mark Hamill, Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell and Carl Lumbly are among the previously announced cast.
