Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 started off without a special in-game event and that’s rare these days, but it looks like things will get back on track for the bridge between Seasons 2 and 3. To sum up a few For clues, data researchers think they may have discovered the final beat for this season’s story arc, and that it may include another explosive in-game event.
Let’s start with what we know for sure. According to the leaked map of the Fortnite island that will be seen in the game in the coming weeks, The Seven will go on against Imagined Order (IO) week after week. After taking down the two IO spacecraft, The Seven looked ready to continue driving IO into a corner. That symbolic corner, at the end of the season, will be the area that includes the Command Cavern, The Fortress, and Loot Lake.
Like a caged animal, however, IO can be motivated to hit the red button as a last-ditch effort to maintain any power over the island and its precious Zero Points. Mentions of “Doomsday Devices” in unreleased Resistance quests have been discovered, and when combined with knowledge of IO’s dwindling influence, you can begin to paint a picture. a picture of how it all ended in Season 2. In fact, that’s exactly what Hyperex did.
While Hypex and other Fortnite insiders sometimes tweet legitimate leaks that are considered “theoretical,” I think that context doesn’t matter much at this point. His guess seems correct. If Jonesy had tasked us with surveying some sort of potentially catastrophic device around Loot Lake… and Loot Lake was where IO would have its last stand, the writing would be on the wall.
The only question is whether this pinnacle is playable, and I bet there will be plenty of V-Bucks. It sounds too explosive to watch in just one trailer. Epic is great at getting players into the action and letting them take part in the story themselves. The Doomsday Equipment Finals event certainly has the tone of a future live multiplayer event.
While we are speculating, I can remind you why I think Seven can’t achieve their goal of destroying The Loop. Doing so would remove the cosmic justification for rounds over battle rings, so I’ve long hypothesized that this means The Seven will never achieve its vision. They’re about a multi-talented little Loop guy. That suggests to me that while The Seven is currently winning every weekly battle on locations like the Daily Bugle, Condo Canyon, and Coney Crossroad, IO will be the winner of the fight.

Battle Season 2 runs until June 3, which means we should expect either the final event on that date or the launch event later that week, depending on the length of the regular downtime. . Season 2 is coming to an end faster than you might expect, being only 11 weeks long, so prepare for the ultimate battle and prepare for the apocalypse.
