Full lineup of talent revealed – The Hollywood Reporter
It’s not a New Year’s Eve party without an all-star lineup.
On Wednesday, NBC officially revealed which musical artists and special guests will perform in 2023 with Miley Cyrus and her iconic godmother Dolly Parton at Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party.
Earlier this month, Cyrus mentioned a few performers on Tonight’s Program with Jimmy Fallon. But the full musical lineup includes singer-songwriter Fletcher, rapper Latto, rock band Lily, hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd and singer Sia. Saturday night live Chloe Fineman and Sarah Sherman, and the comedy trilogy Please Don’t Destroy will also appear. It was previously announced that Parton would be co-hosting a special holiday with Cyrus.
The network posted an Instagram carousel of all the performers with the caption: “Looks like we’re taking on an iconic Miley’s New Year’s Eve.” Cyrus and several artists also responded in the comments, expressing their excitement.
Last year’s special, co-hosted by Cyrus and Pete Davidson, featured outstanding performances by Anitta, Billie Joe Armstrong, Jack Harlow, Brandi Carlile, Saweetie, 24kGoldn, etc.
In June, the male singer talked to Hollywood Reporter about what hosting her first New Year’s Eve special in 2022 will look like, drawing 6 million linear viewers. “I think we represent the true meaning of the New Year, which is connecting with each other, celebrating the year you’ve had, looking forward to the year ahead,” Cyrus said. “It’s also been a challenge, because we’ve had two tough years and it’s hard to ask people to reflect with happiness.”
Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party will air live from Miami on NBC on December 31 from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. ET. The special will also be streamed live on Peacock. The show is executive produced by Lorne Michaels and Cyrus.
