Are you ready for another brand new Game Boy game? We recently reported on Bitmap Soft’s brand new puzzler In the dark for the Game Boy, and now the company is back with Glory Hunters, an action RPG focused on unlocking achievements to advance. It also happens to look a great number of as The Legend of Zelda: The Awakening of the Linkwhich we are very surprised!
The project is currently active Kickstarter, with Bitmap Soft seeking 800,000 MX$ (about under 40,000 USD) to fully fund the project. At the time of writing, about a quarter of the total goal has been funded and 44 days to go.
The game itself focuses on ‘glory points’, a unique currency used to open up new paths and explore the wider world. Unlocking glory points is very similar to achievements; You complete certain objectives such as gathering materials, completing missions and defeating groups of enemies.
Here are some features straight from Bitmap Soft:
– Players can freely choose where to go and explore different areas with unique minigames, enemies and wacky characters!
– You can also upgrade your health, buy more items and even hire people to help you in this quest. You are free to use your glory points to create your own experience!
– Be careful about using your glory points, though; The next achievement may become more difficult to achieve.
– Try to save the land by awakening one of the four gods and cleaning up the shameful monsters lurking in the shadows.
This could be the perfect game to add to your collection if you own – or are planning to own – the new Analogue Pocket. Also you can get Miyoo Mini ‘cheap and luxurious’ if Pocket Analogue illusions are currently out of your reach. Of course, if you have the original Game Boy, you’re all set!
