Based on the analysis of millions of transactions across 65 countries over the course of a year, Onebip has discovered the spending habits of online gamers around the world.

Players are increasingly choosing to pay for their online gaming experience through the convenience of their mobile bill through carrier billing over traditional payment methods. like a credit card or PayPal. Transaction value: Globally, online players spend an average of €4.73 per transaction. UK players spend almost double this figure with an average transaction value of €8.94 making the UK the 3rd largest spender in the world by transaction value.

Average spend per transaction in Switzerland tops the global list at €15.09. This is mainly because domestic carriers give game companies the option of charging much higher price points to online players paying through the carrier than in all other countries. UK late-night gamers: Looking at the UK, the most gaming deals take place in the evenings between 18:00 – 23.59 (GMT/UT) with 38% of daily transactions taking place during this time.
