Gap’s new campaign honors tycoon Stephen “tWitch”

Gap’s latest campaign is dedicated to the late Stephen “tWitch” mogul. In the picture taken before The death of the famous dancer Late last year, Boss modeled products from the retailer’s collaboration with menswear brand The Brooklyn Circus. In keeping with his legacy, as well as his close personal friendship with the founder of the Brooklyn Circus Ouigi Theodorethe collection “explores modern concepts of individuality, movement, and preparation,” according to a press release.

Inspired by academia, music, street style and Black culture, the collection comes in a variety of styles including chinos, basketball shorts, and varsity jackets. Gap’s signature denim is also featured in the campaign, as are accessories such as hats, tote bags, pins and head wraps. Other celebrities featured in the campaign are actor and LGBTQ+ advocate Indya Moore, boxer and “Happiness” star Javon Walton, and Theodore himself.

“When Stephen and I first saw the images of him from the campaign, we were in tears. He was so moved by the way they captured his true nature and he was very much appreciated. excited when the whole world gets to see them,” he said his wife, Allison Holker. “We pay tribute to Stephen’s life by sharing these images to pay tribute to the joy and light he brought to those around him.”

As a supplement tribute to the bossGap is also donating to Vibrant emotional health to support the 988 Crisis Hotline — a free and confidential source of emotional support 24 hours a day for people in crisis. The collection will be available on both brands’ websites as well as at select Gap and Brooklyn Circus stores.
