Someone made a hole in their milk and put a combination lock through it.

20. The girl told us she could smell carbon monoxide leaking in our kitchen. She kept calling the engineers who obviously couldn’t find anything and handed it over to us to pay for it/resolve it.

21. The girl puts the trash behind all her belongings. We didn’t find it until she moved out and the lessor had to investigate her room.

The next morning, I was in the kitchen making myself a cup of tea when suddenly this block popped out from my friend’s room (she was away at the time). He went into the kitchen and even asked for a coffee. I was like, um hello who are you and why are you in my friend’s room? He continued to tell me how he had dumped girls all over the place. She has her own dirty room so obviously chose to pretend room G is hers! I had to break it to G but the girl denied it. From that day on, the battle raged to get her out. I also caught her hanging out in London in my jeans!

26. Uni flatmate hoards old items in a bag in his room. ODOR.

27. My roommate screamed in her sleep and told our landlord that someone had kidnapped her. I was so scared, she had Samara vibe hair and would be standing in the hallway. She also sleeps with her coat. I didn’t even ask…

32. She keeps accusing me of eating her Super Noodles even though I don’t. When I go out with friends, she will text me ‘don’t eat my super noodles’. Even if I have, it’s like 50p a pack. Any!

33. We lived with a French/British duo in a two-bed apartment in London for a year. It’s okay to start, but it’s clear that within the first two weeks it’s going to be bad. Frequently leaves clothes washed in the machine then hangs out for days then just throws clothes in a pile – keep complaining that nothing has ever been dried in the apartment. Woke up at 5am running through the lobby before slamming the door to CrossFit. We’d been away for a few days, coming home with dirty plates/bowls/cutlery on the stone benches. Put a cutting mat in the washing machine and clog it. I had to buy a new one because it was not repairable. Never clean and steal all the teaspoons and leave them at work/on the train or whatever.

34. The time I came back from a tour and discovered stains on my actual mattress and pillowcase after peeling off my bedding because I knew she let everyone sleep in my room and said lie about it – in the summer of 2020 the pandemic was equally frantic.

35. That time she turned me down for a desk when I had to work from home during the pandemic because it didn’t match her living room aesthetic.

36. I went to get a prescription for my old housemate who was in the hospital even though I wasn’t feeling well, only to come back and see her getting ready to go to a house party, while the door was locked. Boldness.

42. Once he came home at 3am with his boss who wanted to order coca and prostitutes to our house.

43. He undressed and slept on his doorstep after he lost his keys during a night out.

44. In the middle of the review, everyone was tense, my roommate blocked the hole and it started to flood. She walked out of the house and didn’t tell us anything. 45. My roommate urinated in my roommate’s shampoo because she was flirting with her friend.

46. Pulled pork left in his slow cooker for MONTH. Mold is growing from under the lid. I’m extremely stubborn and forbid my boyfriend to wipe it, it’s not ours to clean. We insisted they cleaned it and still nothing. In the end, the landlords sold the apartment and so we have some views – no match for a rotting slow cooker, almost like their bedroom. The landscape prompted them to clean their room and I decided to put the slow cooker in their room as a not-so-subtle suggestion. This doesn’t result in the slow cooker being cleaned, but placed at the end of the bed and covered in a blanket and fixtures like some of the last dining tables.

47. One of my housemate’s friends ate our goldfish.

I once had an apartment friend who once stole my clothes from the washing machine and then wore them around the house without shame.

49. We have an innkeeper. She is the BEST. We left after three months. She won’t let us turn on the heaters, so I’ll sit with my coat and gloves on my bed while she sees my breathing, and she’ll pretend the wifi is off for some reason but the reality is she doesn’t want us. for a password. The usual passive-aggressive notes would be left around the apartment, accusing us of tampering with the boiler because the price had gone up. If we left anything unwashed in the kitchen while we were eating, we’d get a knock on the door telling us there would be ants if we didn’t go wash it right away. All in all, a horrible experience and I never wanted to leave my room for fear of bumping into her

50. Background: we are 8 people living on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a big house) woke up early to go to uni, walked out of my room and the floor had blood splatters all over. I was scared but also worried for my roommates. Follow the bloodstain downstairs. There were larger drops and stains on the stairs leading to the ground floor but also some leading into our shared kitchen. On the kitchen floor (white!), there was a really big pool of blood and more blood stains. And there’s also (plot twist) a fire extinguisher in the middle of it all, which really gives me the creeps. All my roommates were still asleep, so I woke them up to check and it wasn’t until the last knock on the door that we discovered the bloodstain. He was fast asleep on the bed, partly soaked with blood. Apparently he got into a drunken fight with a bike (no human involvement) and injured his legs and arms.. no broken or anything just a scuffle. very bloody mess.
