Genshin Impact – Colleague Talents, Artifacts and Team Tutorials
Collei is the newest four-star character in The Genshin effectand she’s one of only three Dendro . character available in version 3.0. She’s a side DPS that can now be obtained for free, so every player can get her now. Here’s what you need to know about how to build Collei, including information on her abilities, best artifacts, weapons, and squads.
Capacity
Elemental Skill – Flower Brush
- Collei throws a Floral Ring boomerang that deals Dendro damage to all enemies it hits, both on the way and on the way back.
Elemental Burst – Trump-Card Kitty
- Collei throws out a doll named Cuilein-Anbar that looks and acts almost exactly like Amber’s Baron Bunny. Cuilein-Anbar will cause an explosion, dealing AoE Dendro damage.
- After the explosion, the doll will jump around inside a newly created area dealing additional AoE Dendro damage.
Passive talent
- The Floral Sidewinder talent activates when a party member causes a Dendro-related reaction (Ignite, Accelerate, Accelerate, Bloom, Spread, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon) after Collei throws her boomerang Floral Ring that out.
- After reacting, party members will gain a Sprout effect when the boomerang returns. Sprouts cause enemies around to take Dendro deals 40% of Collei’s attack damage for three seconds. This is considered Elemental Skill damage, and this effect cannot stack.
- The Language Wood talent extends the duration of the Cuilein-Anbar region by one second each time a character within it triggers an elemental reaction involving Dendro (like the ones mentioned above). The area can only be expanded by three seconds.

Collei mainly used to apply Dendro and trigger the Dendro . reaction as an auxiliary and support DPS. She won’t do the most damage to your team, but she can create that so other characters can kill enemies faster, as long as they have good Elemental Mastery. Collei’s first passive talent decreases with her ATK, but if you’re using her to react in the lower Constellations, Elemental Mastery is a stat to focus on when building her.
Artifacts | Recommended Key Stats | Recommended Statuses |
---|---|---|
Flower | HP | Elemental Mastery, Crit Dmg, Crit Rate, % ATK |
Feather | ATK | Elemental Mastery, Crit Dmg, Crit Rate, % ATK |
Sand | Elemental Mastery or %ATK | Crit Dmg, Crit Ratio, % ATK / Elemental Mastery, Energy Charge |
Cup | Dendro Dmg | Elemental Mastery, Crit Dmg, Crit Rate, % ATK |
Circlet | Crit Dmg or Rate Crit | Elemental Mastery, Damage/Crit Ratio, % ATK, Mana Recharge |
Collei can be built similar to Tighnari as her main goal is to use Elemental Skills and Elemental Burst, then leave the field until more Dendro is needed. Her first constellation even gives her 20% more Recharge Energy when she’s not on the field and she never needs to use basic attacks or charged attacks, because of that attack will just waste time rotating the characters.
The best artifact set
Memories of agarwood trees
- Two-piece set: Dendro damage increased by 15%.
- Four Piece Set: After an Elemental Skill or Elemental Blast hits an opponent, the target’s Dendro resistance is reduced by 30% for eight seconds. This effect can be activated even when the user is not on the field.
Deepwood Memories is a new artifact set that works well with Collei’s set. Her cooldown is very fast, so she can use both Elemental Skills and Burst quite often, which will often reduce enemy Dendro’s resistances. This is especially useful when paired with Tighnari as he is Dendro’s main DPS.
The symbol of fate is severed
- Two-piece set: Dendro damage increased by 15%.
- Four-Piece Set: Increases Elemental Burst’s damage by 25% on mana recharge. Up to 75% bonus damage can be obtained through this effect.
- Emblem of Severed Fate is one of the most popular artifact sets in the entire game because it suits so many characters. We now know that it also works on Collei and her AoE Burst, especially if her mana regeneration is high.
The best weapon
Collei’s best weapons provide Energy, Elemental Mastery, or a % ATK boost so she can use Burst more often or get a higher amount from her Elemental Burst and Skill. Here are three options that can be used by all types of players, whether the Collei build is free or has some money on it.
Elegy for the end
- Key Stats: Recharge
- Effect: Increases Elemental Mastery by 60/75/90/105/120. When the user’s Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst hits an opponent, the character gains a Mark of Remembrance, providing an effect that can be activated every 0.2 seconds whether or not the character is on the field. When four Marks of Remembrance are stacked, they are automatically used to increase party’s 100/125/150/175/200 and increase attack by 20/25/30/35/40%. Marks cannot be regained for another 20 seconds after this effect occurs.
This five-star sign is perfect for a support Collei if you have an extra ray lying around in your inventory. It provides a significant boost after Skill and Boom, and since Collei has a low cooldown, the effect will trigger frequently.
Wireless
- Main Stat: Elemental Mastery
- Effect: Increases Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage by 24/30/36/42/48%.
Stringless is a four-star bow that players can obtain with a little luck from wishes on the banner. This effect is easier to track, as it increases direct damage to two skills that Collei uses all the time.
Prototype sickle
- Key Stats: ATK%
- Effect: Attacks that hit a weak spot increase Movement Speed by 10% and ATK by 36/45/54/63/72% for 10 seconds.
Prototype Crescent is a four-star bow that can be crafted for free at any blacksmith. The charm requires the player to hit the weak point, which isn’t ideal, but the %ATK bonus matches Collei’s first Talent.
Team Comps
Collei should only be used as a support that deals a moderate amount of secondary damage along with other characters that use elemental attacks to defeat enemies. She works well with Electro characters in particular because of how powerful Dendro and Electro reactions can be.
Here are a few examples of the Collei team:
The expensive team includes:
- Collei, Tighnari, Kokomi, Raiden Shogun
- Collei, Kazuha, Childe, Yae Miko
- Collei, Kazuha, Kokomi, Fischl
- Collei, Mona, Raiden Shogun, Tighnari
The budget group includes:
- Collei, Fischl, Beidou, Sucrose
- Collei, Fischl, Barbara, Keqing
- Collei, Xiangling, Bennett, Sucrose
- Collei, Fischl, Lisa, Tighnari
Collei isn’t exactly the strongest character, but she is free to add to your list and is one of the few Dendro users currently in the game. She’s worth building as a budget or support DPS sub Dendro just because of how rare this element is at the moment, especially since Sumeru often provides a chance to use Dendro for travel, combat and puzzle.
