Katie McCabe scored a hat-trick as the Republic of Ireland Women beat Georgia 9-0 in World Cup qualifying in Gori.

Arsenal’s McCabe won the treble, with Louise Quinn also scoring twice.

Niamh Fahey, Megan Connolly, Abbie Larkin and Denise O’Sullivan also headed home the away team to win Group A of the World Cup qualifiers.

The win puts the Irish second in the table, putting them one point ahead of the Finns.
