Ghostrunner ‘Project_Hel’ DLC delayed until March
Upcoming Project_Hel DLC for cyberpunk parkour game Ghostrunner slated to launch on January 27th. Today, the team announced that it will need to be delayed to March 3rd, due to the need to focus on “health and safety” team, and make “worthwhile improvements”.
While we can only speculate on the reasons behind the delays, the focus on “health and safety” is often shorthand for crisis avoidance – a controversial topic for airlines. games push their employees to work overtime and weekends to complete a game on time. leads to burnout, poor mental health, and even workers being fired for disagreeing in the first place.
Cracking – and its negative effects – has been documented at many major studios, from Metroid Prime’s Retro Studios arrive Epic of Fortnite, so maybe All In Games is delaying the Ghostrunner DLC so it doesn’t have to deal with the January deadline.
Project_Hel puts players in the role of Hel, one of the game’s bosses, in more combat-oriented parkour gameplay. With six new tracks, new enemies, new bosses, and Hel’s own skill progression system, the developers describe it as a “full Ghostrunner experience”.
