Giannis Antetokounmpo humorously tries to imitate LeBron James’ celebration during Milwaukee Bucks practice
Giannis Antetokounmpo has built a reputation as a comedian off the court, and he’s back at it again. This time, he did his best to impersonate one of the game’s greatest talents.
During a Milwaukee Bucks training session, Giannis Antetokounmpo is making three-shots as he dribbles. As we all know, the side shot is the only weak point in the two-time MVP winner’s game. So far this season, Giannis is hitting a shot rate of 24.4% from outside the arc.
After falling a few times, he started to feel like himself. That’s when Giannis Antetokounmpo decided to start having fun with the Milwaukee Bucks coaches. The six-time All-Star then went on to have the best impression of LA Lakers star LeBron James, breaking his signature celebration from when he was with the Miami Heat.
The three may have come together by luck, but that didn’t stop Giannis from having fun working on his game.
Giannis Antetokounmpo on his way to his third MVP title
Christmas Day is a pivotal moment in the NBA schedule because that’s when fans and analysts have a large enough sample to judge players and teams. With more than a handful of games under their belt, discussions about seasonal prize winners may well begin.
After winning consecutive MVP awards in 2018 and 2019, Giannis Antetokounmpo was forced to sit back in the race. While still putting up high numbers, he is a victim of voter fatigue. The Milwaukee Bucks stars are still considered, but never enough to usurp the top spot from the big Denver Nuggets Nikola Jokić.
Looking at this season, Giannis could be on his way to adding a third MVP title to his accolades. With very few players winning the award three years in a row, many are expecting a new player to be crowned at the end of the regular season.
First, Giannis is having one of the best seasons of his career. Currently, he is averaging 31.7 points (a career-high), 11.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists. On top of that, the Bucks are one of the top teams in the NBA. Before the Brooklyn Nets’ strong winning streak, they closely followed the Boston Celtics to take the top spot in the Eastern Conference.
As far as MVP goes, Giannis will have some stiff competition. humorous, Kevin Durant, and Jayson Tatum are both in the midst of great seasons. That means, if he keeps this pace, the “Greek freak” will like his chance.
