Giants vs. live scores. Buccaneers, updates, highlights from NFL’s ‘Monday Night Soccer’ game
The Buccaneers will be looking to break their losing streak when they face the Giants on “Monday Night Football.”
After consecutive losses to the Saints and Washington Football Team, the Buccaneers will take on the Giants to keep their lead against NFC South. Tom Brady will lead the Buccaneers in midfield as he prepares to face a passing defense that ranks ninth in the league. Meanwhile, the Giants will have a bye week against the Buccaneers.
Tampa Bay struggled against Washington in the 29-19 loss, when Brady threw two interceptions in his first six passes. Running against Leonard Fournette, who led the Buccaneers with 486 yards, ran only 47 yards ahead of Washington. However, veteran tennis player Rob Gronkowski will return after a back spasm, fractured ribs and punctured lung kept him out of five matches.

Leonard Williams and Azeez Ojulari – both leading the Giants with 5.5 bags – will make life difficult for Brady, Fournette and Gronkowski. Unfairly, midfielder Daniel Jones will eventually be able to use Saquon Barkley running again when the latter returns from an ankle injury. Although reruns have struggled to stay healthy throughout the season, reruns Barkley and Devontae Booker will be challenged against the NFL’s top-ranked rushed defense. The Giants also triggered left-hand tackle Andrew Thomas from the injured reserves after he missed four of his last five games with foot and ankle injuries.
Winger Shaquil Barrett led Tampa Bay with 5.5 covers and one interception, while Mike Edwards and Jamel Dean both combined two picks. Former Giants defender Jason Pierre-Paul, who has a total of three sacks with one mandatory, will also put pressure on Jones and his former New York teammates.
