GloRilla insists on paying $550/week for a personal assistant
Hybrid rapper Memphis GloRilla is under fire when it comes to a recent job post she shared, looking for a personal assistant.
The official GloRilla Facebook account shared the job posting on December 14. Personal assistant responsibilities include things like managing her calendar and schedules, handling travel and baggage ground transportation, flights and hotels, organize meals, shop for groceries and receive mail, track her wardrobe, pack and unpack her luggage, and more.
This position requires qualified candidates to possess “excellent” communication skills, the ability to multi-task and a high level of attention to detail. It also requires potential candidates to have “prudence” and “confidentiality”.
The salary for this position is listed as “$550/week” at the bottom of the flyer.
Fans immediately found problems with Glo’s job posting
GloRilla commented on her Facebook to share more clarity about the position, after noticing that fans felt the rapper’s $550/week salary was indecent.
They talk about 550 being too low, it really needs to be 500 – I’m just playing around. But in fact, first of all, your flights get paid for – your flights and your travel. If you want better pay, then pay for your own flights and travel and see what their $500 a** airfare is… I fly every day.
Glo continued.
Either way, you don’t have to do it for real. It’s just that, if necessary, you may have to do it. But it really is the easiest thing in the world. You really don’t have to do anything but be with me every day. And go get my clothes and all the clothes I have to wear, you have to take all my crap with you… You really have to do whatever I tell you to do.
Even comedian Lil Duval seems to agree that GloRilla’s $550 a week salary is reasonable.
According to HipHopDX, the annual salary for GloRilla’s personal assistant position will equal $28,600 annually before taxes.
The backlash to Glo’s financial proposal for the position hasn’t stopped
GloRilla continues to feel that the salary for this position is truly worth it. And has noted that she feels the position is pretty “simple”. On Monday, she took to Twitter to share her disappointment at the backlash she received for the post.
Like why should we pay to promote what we do positive but anything negative gets posted for free fast 🤦🏼♀️

However, one Twitter user felt no sympathy for the “Tomorrow 2” rapper. And quickly let it be known.

GloRilla replied.
People would rather work 10-12 hour shifts at a billion dollar company working 10 times as hard as you all day getting paid the same amount as me maybe 1 or 2 hundred dollars more 😂😂😂 but guys very supportive “sUppOrt Black BusINeSs” we have to do better

Roommate, do you think GloRilla is being fair with the salary she offers? Or does she need to reevaluate that $550/week salary?
